KISS — Interviews, concert reviews and commentaries

by Alan K. Stout

"Sure Know Something" is a song recorded by KISS and released on the band's "Dynasty" album in 1979. It was also performed by the band acoustically during their "MTV Unplugged" performance in 1995, and with the Melbourne Symphony Ensemble on their live album "KISS Symphony: Alive IV." This cover version was recorded by Alan K. Sout, a music journalist from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It appeared on the charity CD, "Concert For A Cause 7: A Concert For Karen," which hit No. 1 on the NEPA album chart. Stout, a lifelong KISS fan, recorded the song as a tribute, combining elements of both the "Dynasty" version and "Unplugged" version. It was recorded at Saturation Acres Recording Studio, was produced by Bret Alexander, and also features performances by members of The Badlees.

Stout has recorded other cover songs for the annual "Concert For A Cause" album, as well as original material. Many of his other recordings can also be found on YouTube.
